The Incredible Cast of Fast and Furious 8 Cars

The Fast and Furious is one of the most grossing franchises even now. No doubt, it has tons of charms, from breathtaking actions, races, car chases, to famous casts like Vin Diesel, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. And, the most attractive thing to all men which is: the cars. Each time a new Fast and Furious title releases, it features entirely new cars list. With the latest Fast and Furious 8 (or The Fate of the Furious), we will be able to see a brand new cast of various astounding beasts. With that in mind, let’s check out the new grand stars of the Fast and Furious 8 cars!

Fast and Furious 8 Cars Cast: Dodge Ice Charger

In Fast and Furious 8, Dodge Ice Charger is the new stead of Dominic Toretto (starred by Vin Diesel) on the icy land. Apperently, this Dodge Ice Charger is the modded version of the old Dodge Charger 1968 model. The Dodge Charger 1968 model is a mid-size automobile, muscle car type built by Dodge in 1968. In Fast and Furious 8, this model was custom made and with the influence between the car models from Mad Max and the raging beast Hoonicorn of Ken Block.

In Fast 8, Letty Ortiz (starred by Michelle Rodriguez) drived the monstrous beast: Rally Fighter. Rally Fighter is an off-road monster possessing V8 430 engine, built by Local Motors. This car can reached the maximum height of 69.25 inches with the high-ride height option, and weigh around 3.000 lbs. In addition, Rally Fighter can ride on almost all terrains, and even on the most challenging one. Rally Fighter’s design brings out quite an interesting pattern with smooth curves, yet looks imposing at same time. This is the very first car which is built based on community’s design and the result turns out to be truly excellent.

This crimson red Chevrolet is not just a simple car, it is Brian Hobaugh’s model which is invites in 2013 OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car. This time, Roman Pearce (starred by Tyrese Gibson) chooses for himself a legendary Lamborghini Murcielago. This famous supercar has gone through many models, perfected by the Lamborghini. Later on, Lamborghini Aventador succeeded Lamborghini Murcielago and became one of the most successful Lamborghini models throughout history. Lamborghini Murcielago is powered by the V12 engine which can boast from 0 to 100 mph within 4 seconds. In Fast 8, Roman uses an orange one.

So, Roman Pearce already has the Lamborghini Aventador. But seems Lamborghini Aventador is not enough and now he has Bentley Continental. Bentley Continental is the luxurious brand of the British company Bentley Motors. In Fast 8, Roman seems to drive the Bentley Continental GT coated with white and crimson tones, giving it an exotic and stunning look.

Ripsaw is actually not a “car”, but a proper monstrous light tank used by Tej Parker (starred by Ludacris). The Ripsaw has gone through several models, with the latest Ripsaw EV2. The tank is 9.000 lbs in weight and has EV2-720 horsepower engine which can exceed nearly 100 mph. The tank can equip with variety of weapons from the M2 .50-caliber machine gun, to M249 Squad Automatic Weapon. Currently, the Ripsaw EV2 is available for purchase at the price of 250.000$ USD.

In addition to the devastating tank Ripsaw, Tej Parker also brings out his Mercedes-AMG GT – a charming black-stripped racecar built by the famous Mercedes-Benz company. Mercedes-AMG GT comes with the 4.0-litre V-8 engine which can get to 100 kph in 3.8 seconds.

To conquer the icy terrain, Luke Hobbs (starred by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) drives an imposing Ice Ram to save the day. In 2016, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson showed the Ice Ram on Twitter, in addition to its showcase at SEMA 2016. The Ram possesses a half-shark shape, designed to look like a military truck. Supposedly, the fin on Ice Ram is for ice and snow ripping. However, at SEMA, the Ice Ram appeared without its “fin”. The Ice Ram is only for Fast and Furious 8 so it’s unlikely that people can purchase it in the future.

Fast and Furious 8 Cars Cast: Subaru BR-Z

This Subaru BR-Z is custom built for Fast 8 and can be seen a lot in the city section. The Subaru comes with an attractive dark blue tone, and can exceed the max speed of 135 mph.

Finally on this list we have Jaguar F-Type Coupe drived by Deckard Shaw (starred by Jason Statham). Deckard Shaw is an assassin mercenary, and of course an assassin such as himself will require a fine stead. And this time, Jaguar F-Type Coupe is the perfect match for him with its exotic appearance and the supercharged V8 engine.

And so Star Wars The Last Jedi has finally been announced with the recent teaser trailers. From what we know so far, Rey is the protagonist and there will be a fierce battle with the First Order. However, putting all that aside, what piques our interest is the identity of the Last Jedi. So who is the Last Jedi anyway? What is his/her purpose? Of course soon we will know when the movie’s release. But since we have to wait until December, let’s share some speculations.

The Last Jedi: a single mighty soldier, or a group of proud warriors?

Since Star Wars The Last Jedi’s trailers release, many people have been wondering about the Last Jedi’s number part. Whether it is a single Jedi? Or it is a group of Jedi warriors? This question is pretty impossible to answer if we just base on the trailer. And possibly we can wait until the movie finally comes out. Luckily, with the recent Good Morning America’s interview with Rian Johnson, director of Star Wars The Last Jedi, we now have some clues.

In the interview, Rian Johnson expressed that he didn’t expect this matter could cause a great concern among fans. He also implied that the last jedi is a single person, leaving us many potential speculations.

The Last Jedi’s Identity Speculation:

Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker is the famous Master Jedi who played a vital role in the battle against the Galactic Empire. During Yoda’s final moment, he said that Luke is the last surviving Jedi and he had the responsibility to teach others the way of Force.

So far, Luke Skywalker is one of the most possible candidates for the Last Jedi position. This is not only due to major fans’ speculation but also other hints. In the trailer, we can see Luke Skywalker with his interesting line: “It’s time for the Jedi to end”. On Twitter, the official Star Wars Twitter announced the release date of Star Wars The Last Jedi with the quote: “STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is the next chapter of the Skywalker saga”. Also, in the interview, Rian Johnson was asked whether Luke Skywalker is the Last Jedi or not. And he answered that Luke will discover the last Jedi Temple and he IS indeed the Last Jedi. However, the way he answered looks not really committing so this information only seems valid for now.

Back to the theory itself, the possibility of Luke Skywalker as the Last Jedi is high. Even if we base on his background alone, his father, Anakin Skywalker slew many Jedi, leaving Luke the only known Jedi. If so, we will possibly see a new Luke Skywalker who will join the Dark Side according to his line in the trailer.

As possible it might be, there’s still a chance that they intentionally avert our attention away from the true character.

Rey

Rey is the protagonist in Star Wars The Force Awakens and she is the prodigy in the Force power. Rey will also be the protagonist in this movie. Some may consider Rey not a true Jedi; however, we can see that Rey gives Luke the lightsaber implying that Luke will be her Jedi mentor.

In addition, some think that Rey is related to Luke and Anakin Skywalker somehow due to her origins being similar to them. Also, both interview with Rian Johnson and the trailer mention that Rey’s parents identity will be further revealed. For such a girl who has so many mysteries and potentials, she could be potentially the Last Jedi. Especially when we consider the first possibility, With Luke as the Last Jedi throughout the movie, Rey can become the Last Jedi at the end of the movie.

Leia

Leia is the princess of Alderaan and the leader of the Resistance who fight against the First Order. Leia is also known to have the talent in the Force. Since she seems to play a vital role in the movie, the Last Jedi can also refer to her. However, with the loss of Carrie Fisher who played Leia on December, it looks unlikely that Leia is the Last Jedi.

Kylo Ren

Kylo Ren, or originally known as Ben Solo, used to be Jedi apprentice of Luke Skywalker. But then Ben Solo ruined Luke’s plan to bring back the Jedi Order. He then joined the First Order and trained under Supreme Leader Snoke. From this point, he changed his name as Kylo Ren.

Some speculated that this movie can be the setup for Kylo Ren’s atonement. If that’s true then Kylo Ren is possibly the Last Jedi. Even so, the chance for this case is quite slim.

Of course, there are other candidates of being the Last Jedi. But for such an important role, these characters have higher chance of being in such vital position. Still, all of these are speculations, guess we will have to wait for more information until the release of Star Wars The Last Jedi on December 2017.
